Another new found Korean restaurant in new Malden. Love the food we ordered such as seafood pancake, tuk pooki and the appetisers. Unfortunately we ordered the meats for grill and the grill did not work. The meats then were prepared in their kitchen.
Get out of Raynes park station, take bus 131 right out of the station and it will take around 6 mins to get there. If you make effort to come as a big group then book (esp weekends!!) , for 2/3 people you probably can get a table. They do rush you a bit though but I'm Asian so I'm used to being rushed out of my meals 🙈
Authentic, quick service, great BBQ. The seafood pancake was out of this world. Remember to order the pork belly when you have BBQ, personally think you can't never go wrong with it.
I'll come back any day to eat some more of these hearty Korean dishes....
Slightly out of the way if you are in central London, but you will find good authentic Korean food here. There's plenty of Korean as well who comes - always a good sign. Unfortunately no booking allowed. So just make sure you arrive early to avoid the crowd.
They have set lunch as well which seems quite popular. We ordered ala-carte. To start, the restaurant provides several small dishes such as kim-chi etc. No refills though. Kimchi tasted very authentic.
We also ordered:
- Seafood pancake: taste and texture were good. Not too oily. But could do with more seafood. Struggling to find the seafood in the pancake.
- Bibimpap: one of the better dishes that we tried. You can add the spicy sauce yourself. The one thing I would have preferred was for the egg to be not so cooked so that when you actually break the egg, it will cook itself in the residue heat.
- BBQ Grill: Marinated pork on the grill was good
- Stovelid grill: this was in a different type of grill than the BBQ Grill. Portion was way bigger than the BBQ grill. Taste was good - pork was nicely marinated and very tender.
